Staying healthy is a beautiful, bittersweet journey.
I'm not saying it is easy, but I believe it doesn't have to be a beast.
Moving well and minding your meals should be a discovery of all the new things we haven't done that we are surprised to love.
Not many people love olives at first glance-- black or green wrinkled little things with a sharp, bitter oily taste. But somehow we learn to love them.
Wish I could say the same thing about burpees.
But I've come to love the way I feel like I'm flying on the way down to the floor, the minute or so of hovering in the air before I land.
So I choose to remember the moments of flight instead of the cringe, and the grunge and the grit.
It isn't always fun to go to the grocery store again, complete my repetitions with a new, heavy weight or make another fast dinner. But there are moments for flight: for noticing, slowing down and enjoying the briefest moments in our pursuit of wellness.
Look for the beauty in your life, and learn to love the discovery of new, beautiful ways to live in our bodies with joy.
Grateful for sharing this
